A European exposure model has been developed as part of the SERA project, using publicly available sources of information, and building upon the activities initiated in the FP7 European project NERA and the GED4GEM project. This model describes the spatial distribution of residential, commercial and industrial building classes (categorised according to the GEM Building Taxonomy v3.1) in terms of building count, area, occupants and replacement cost for 44 European countries. Access is provided to the exposure data that stored in a GitLab repository, and maps of the exposure data can be explored through an interactive viewer. A number of web services are also available for the implementation of automated access to the data and models. Technical details on the development of the exposure models can be found in the Documentation.
